Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging: The Difference Between Prevention and Detection

Learn how Thermography is detecting Functional changes in the body, changes in Physiology! Rather than detecting anatomical changes in the breasts like mammography does, thermography is able to assess a patient’s risk factors for developing these Anatomical changes.  Physiological changes precede Anatomical changes.  Most people would rather concentrate on preventing Anatomical changes than detecting them (i.e. Medical condition).

Join Genie to understand how full body thermal scans might be able to detect such functional misalignments as weak digestion, body’s mechanical imbalance, inflamed carotid arteries, dental health, lymphatic congestions, myofascial congestions and many other pre-medical conditions.

Genie Goykhberg is well known in our community as an Intuitive Holistic Practitioner, Educator and Mentor.  She is a Board Certified Naturopath, Board Certified Clinical Thermographer – Advanced Level, Loomis Digestive Health Specialist – Advanced Level and more. She has been trained all around the World, mastering many professional modalities.

Thermography is her true Passion!  She believes in a power of making an educated decision when it comes to our health assessments. Genie devotes her time and efforts to share her knowledge of available options.

The ThermoVision Mission is “We strive to help anyone, who needs/wants Thermography exam, find a way to get it done”.  You can reach Genie at

The Whole Is Greater Than the Sum of Its Parts:  Maximizing Treatment Outcomes

Dr. Mary Wong VanHoy, a neuro-developmental optometrist of over forty years clinical experience, will be discussing the various tools available to address sensory challenges of patients from early childhood into the senior years for such issues as hypersensitivity to their environment which can be diagnosed as ADD/ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Learning Differences, or Dyslexia.  She will also addresses visual challenges associated with acquired brain injuries such as stroke, auto accidents, and concussions.  The use of optometric vision therapy or neuro- optometric rehabilitation will also be discussed as a much more viable option to eye muscle surgery for misaligned eyes (also known as crossed eyes or strabismus).

In addition to conventional optometric treatments using lenses, prisms, and filters, she also utilizes a vast array of integrative health care treatments which may include the Sensory Learning Program, the Delta coMra treatment, the BEMER microcirculation enhancement, Optometric Syntonic Phototherapy, the REDjuven- ator, and the Photonwave instrument.  If most of these treat- ments sound foreign to you, perhaps this would be a good presentation to attend!

Dr. VanHoy is the only developmental optometrist in Indiana who has achieved both her fellowship in the College of Optometrist in Vision Development as well as the College of Syntonic Optometry. She was also an optometric consultant to an autism center serving young adults with autistic spectrum disorder in Kuwait in 2013 – 2015.

11:40 a.m. – 12:10 p.m. Session:

Qigong: The Sacred Path of Body, Mind, Spirit Healing

It was through Qigong that Ancient Masters discovered the secrets of Chinese Medicine and frameworks for understanding the Universe, Nature, and our place within it. Qigong is an energy practice. Our Meridian Network is an energetic system that acts like a grid connecting from the surface to deep within every organ. Qigong accesses this network through specific Meridian stretches and standing postures. When you place yourself in a standing posture you align yourself like a “plug” connecting your grid into Universal energy and consciousness. Qigong has been used to support healing many physical and emotional conditions. These conditions include pain, hypertension, diabetes, hormonal imbalances, emotional imbalances, and cancer. This is because at the root EVERYTHING is energy. With sufficient flow and sufficient energy, healing is ALWAYS possible.

There are many forms of Qigong but not all forms are equal in their ability to impact Body, Mind, Spirit healing. In general, there are forms that are taught by form and those that are taught by form and message. Practices that embody message have been passed down over 1000’s of years through a lineage of Ancient Masters. When you practice you connect to this message through the form. I am trained in Wu Ming Qigong. This lineage originated with Lao Tzu, the author of the Tao Te Ching. Wu translates from Chinese to mean to think with the Heart, beyond the rational mind. Join me as we open to the power of this transformative Body, Mind, Spirit practice!

As a holistic medicine physician, Dr. Laborsky, provide tools to empower your personal journey of body, mind, spirit healing. These tools integrate the ancient wisdom of Chinese Medicine with modern science. She uses the techniques of Medical Qigong (Chinese Energy Medicine), acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, eating for healing, and energy exercises. “My experience as a practicing physician of Western Medicine serves as a framework for understanding the whole picture of your healing journey”, she says.

12:25 – 12:55 p.m. Session:

Creating Your Self Care Map

Self-Care isn’t just about going to the gym or having me time. Self-care is how we take care of ourselves in all areas of our lives: physical, emotional, spiritual, and energetic. In this workshop, we will look at some of the common things we all consider as self-care as well as beginning to look at the subtler aspects of self-care. This is a hands-on workshop with glitter markers, sharpies, and lots of fun. Participants will leave with a self-care map that identifies at least 10 activities or actions specific to their life.

Stephanie shares her experience as a corporate business trainer, an intuitive, and 30 years of experience in the wellness industry as both practitioner and instructor with her clients. She firmly believes that our businesses must nourish us as much as we nourish our clients. Stephanie empowers her clients to connect with their inner wisdom and create a life filled with the notes of their Soul Song.

Mindful Eating From An Integrative Nutrition Perspective

Presented by Jennifer Malins, Taproot Integrative Health

Mindful eating is so much more than chewing your food in a relaxed environment. Mindful eating encompasses community, understanding the source of your cravings, knowing where your food came from, how it affects your body-mind, and so much more!  At the core of Jennifer’s approach is the scientifically-validated HeartMath program.  Scientists at the HeartMath Institute discovered a way to systematically tap into the 40,000 neurons of the heart to bring about balance in the body and mind.  By calming the nervous system and improving digestion, we can go to the root of our health issues as opposed to just treating the symptoms.  Participants will leave with some key tips on how to create a more mindful eating practice in their own lives.

Jennifer Malins is a certified Integrative Nutrition coach who uses proven tools to help people reduce stress and develop a more modern eating practice.  She works with individuals and in groups on this topic.  Jennifer’s teaching style is fun, creative and thought-provoking.
